WOLF THEISS IN LONDON AGAIN SELECTED AS “AUSTRIAN TAX LAW FIRM OF THE YEAR”

Wolf Theiss again selected as “Austrian Tax Law Firm of the Year”, the third top award received from Great Britain this year.

Every year, the respected specialist journal International Tax Review honours outstanding tax law services. For the second time in a row, Wolf Theiss has won the prize for the best Austrian tax law firm.

The prizes for the best and most innovative advisers in the field of tax law and international transactions were awarded on 24 May 2007 during a celebratory gala dinner at the Dorchester Hotel in London. In the presence of a number of top-class representatives from the business, legal and political worlds, the awards were granted for the third time in 2007. 17 national “Tax Firms of the Year” awards were presented, with the coveted award for Austria going to Wolf Theiss.

In the words of Niklas Schmidt, the Head of the Wolf Theiss tax law team, who accepted the prize in London, “The fact that we have been chosen for the second time in a row as the best Austrian tax law firm, is the best possible accolade we could have hoped for in acknowledgement of the outstanding quality of our work. We have managed to consolidate our leading position, not least by supervising a number of top deals in Austria and Central Europe”.

After winning the sought-after IFLR Awards for “Austrian Law Firm of the Year” and “Czech Law Firm of the Year”, the title of “Austrian Tax Law Firm of the Year” represents the third top award made to Wolf Theiss by a British specialist journal in 2007.
