WOLF THEISS LAUNCHES NEW, UNIQUE TRAINING PROGRAM, THE "WOLF THEISS SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE"

WOLF THEISS LAUNCHES NEW, UNIQUE TRAINING PROGRAM, THE Vienna, 12 October 2011 – The "Wolf Theiss School of Excellence" is a new comprehensive, firm-wide in-house training program that sets new standards. In addition to legal expertise and entrepreneurial know-how, business development skills will also be taught. With this new program, Wolf Theiss is heavily investing in the training and qualification of its employees.

The "Wolf Theiss School of Excellence" structurally harmonizes and expands existing training measures such as the long-standing "Wolf Theiss School of Finance" in a new, all-encompassing training program. The program's focus is not only on legal expertise, but also on the teaching of entrepreneurship and industry-specific knowledge. Soft skills, business development, business administration and law firm management also form part of the training. Project manager Andrea Miskolczi, who previously developed the School of Finance and is now responsible for the development of the School of Excellence, explains: "Legal training typically does not include topics such as business administration, transaction management or business development. Closing this gap makes Wolf Theiss even more attractive to young graduates to start their careers with us."

"A structured, professional training of this magnitude covering legal and economic topics is unique among law firms in Austria and in the CEE/SEE region," says Richard Wolf, a member of the Wolf Theiss management board, who continues: "In a competitive market such as legal services, excellent legal expertise alone does not suffice. By teaching our lawyers to think like entrepreneurs and enabling them to get to know the business of our clients in detail, our services for our clients become even more valuable."

The "Wolf Theiss School of Excellence" is open to all junior and senior lawyers from all twelve Wolf Theiss offices. "At Wolf Theiss, in-house training has great strategic importance. We thus ensure that we offer advice on the same high level of quality across all our offices, and that our lawyers can acquire in-depth, non-legal knowledge in addition to their legal training," says Barbara Gerzer, Head of Human Resources at Wolf Theiss. "Job satisfaction is thereby increased enormously."

Numerous lawyers have taken part in the training events offered by Wolf Theiss in the past. Naida Custovic, School of Finance participant from the Wolf Theiss office in Belgrade says: "Thanks to the 'Wolf Theiss School of Finance' I was able to increase my knowledge in the field of financial law enormously, because it covers far more than the knowledge gained at university and that gained by everyday file processing. I am therefore well-prepared to advise our clients, as I can now approach them as a true expert. I very much look forward to also participating in the 'Wolf Theiss School of Excellence'."
