

Sofia, 29 June 2009 On 30 June, the Bulgarian office WOLF THEISS, one of the lead-ing law firms in Central and Eastern Europe, will host a
business round table on “Investment and Financing of Renewable Energy Resources in Bulgaria”, in partnership with the Commercial Section of Austrian Embassy in Sofia. The event will take place on June 30, 2009. Media partners are Darik Finance, “Pari” daily newspaper See News and EBF Business TV.
The Business Round Table will bring together government representatives, developers and financing parties, as well as representatives of the leading companies in the sector.
The first part of the meeting will give an accent on the investment environment for the renewable energy sector in Bulgaria, including the government policy in encouraging investment in RES as well as the regulatory and legal framework, the investor protection and the practicalities of licensing, construction and interconnection. The participants in the Round Table will discuss the possibilities for debt and capital financing of renewable energy projects as an accent of the second part of the meeting. Subjects of this part will be the availability and requirements for debt financing, the EU grants, the role of the capital bonds as well as the secondary market.
